Energetic Mix + Message from Hyped-Up Reese
Let's Get It 🚀,
I hope this week is off to a great start for you and if not, I’m rooting for a plot twist in your favor Reader because you deserve it. Let's get into this week's quote ..
And if you'd rather watch than read click on the link below ⬇️
"If your compassion does not include yourself than it is incomplete" - Jack Kornfield
Let’s really talk about compassion, you know that thing we sort of give everyone else but rarely ourselves. Like the grace we offer our friends when they mess up or the love we pour into others when they’re tired, unmotivated, or overwhelmed.
But let me ask you this, how many of us keep that same energy for ourselves when we mess up or when we are exhausted, tapped out, and bogged down by the weight of the world?!
My friend, you can’t build a full life on half kindness. You can’t water the world and leave your own roots dry. And I say that with love, not judgment, because trust me... I am guilty of this tooo 😭.
I’ve shown up for people when I was running on E.
I’ve clapped for others while beating myself up in the background.
I’ve said “you’re doing your best” to a friend, damnit even strangers, then turned around and had the nerve to tell myself I wasn’t doing enough!!
Crazy right??
So today, I want to flip the script.
I want you to speak to yourself like your own best friend.
Imagine that your inner voice is the one person you trust with everything, and this person doesn’t shame you, they see you.
And they accept you for you.
They say: “You’re still good. You’re still worthy. You’re still enough.”
Idk about you but I didn't grow up in an environment that allowed mistakes, allowed imperfection, allowed flaws so I've learned that I have to create this environment for myself within myself.
That’s real compassion.
You can't grow in the same environment that hurt you my friend. Healing doesn’t happen through harshness. Growth doesn’t bloom through self-criticism. You don’t become better by beating yourself up into greatness.
It takes being present, being patient with yourself, and remembering you are a freaking human.
“Self-compassion is simply giving the same kindness to ourselves that we would give to others.”
Let’s make that the mission this week cultivating self-compassion.
Actionable Steps On Cultivating Self Compassion 🎯
-
Speak to Yourself With Self-Kindness - When you catch yourself spiraling into “I’m not good enough” or “I should’ve done more,” pause. Talk to yourself as if you are your own friend. Literally say out loud: “I’m doing my best, and that’s enough.”
-
Remember You’re Not Alone (Common Humanity) - That thing you’re struggling with? Somebody else is too. You’re not the only one trying to figure it all out. You’re not broken.. you’re human. And humans mess up, rest, restart, and rise again. You’re in good company. We're all in this together no high school musical 🤣
-
Feel Your Feelings Yo - Take at least 60 seconds each day this week to breathe and name what you’re feeling ... without judging it. Just notice it. Let the feeling exist without letting it define you. (“I feel anxious” is different from “I am anxiety.”)
This is your Monday reminder to treat yourself like someone worth rooting for because you are!
And if you need a little boost? Go ahead and press play on this 30-minute mix. Let’s move through this week with energy and self-love.
And as always let’s make this a bomb ass week, on purpose.
